CLEVELAND, Ohio- With the country reopening and sports around the world slowly trying to get back again, I wanted to talk about my predictions for week one matchups, as it relates to the AFC North here on the Broulis Beat Report.

Let’s start out with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the New York Giants- The Steelers are hoping to get back a healthy Ben Roethlisberger back at quarterback. When healthy, Ben is still a very good QB and the Pittsburgh defense should be even better this year. The Steelers are heading into week one as favorites by 4 points according to I will favor the Steelers by 7. I’m not very confident in the Giant’s defense as of now. We shall see.

It’s time to bring in the new era of Bengals football as rookie quarterback Joe Burrow leads Cincinnati against the Los Angeles Chargers. No more Phillip Rivers, but the Chargers still have talent. This should be a good game as the Bengals have some talent as well. But, will both teams be healthy? SBD has LA favored by 3 points, however, I’m going to go the opposite way and favor the Bengals by 3. I think Burrow may surprise the Chargers defense and the Bengals defense will do enough to help get a win.

The first meeting between AFC North rivals Cleveland and Baltimore starts in week one. The Browns invade the Ravens nest and look to get a huge win right away, but it will have to be over an improved Baltimore team that went 14-2 just last season. I’m sure Lamar Jackson and company will look to avenge their lopsided loss to Cleveland from last year, when the Browns crushed the Ravens in their own house. Baltimore is favored by 9 points according to SportsBettingDime, but I’m going to only favor the Ravens by 3.
