An Ohio native, I grew up and have continued as a loyal fan of the tribe (…the Cleveland Indians). Born in ’84, I was 10 when the tribe began their ’94 season in Jacob’s field. I still remember my first game (well kinda, don’t ask me who they played). The tribe went on to win the ’95 ALCS. Then after hosting the ’97 All-Star Game went on to win the ’97 ALCS. Twice to the World Series in 4 years! I remember attending post season games in both ’95 and ’97 and attended the ’97 All-Star Game Work-Out / Home Run Derby (in the bleachers!) Of course the tribe had their shot again in ’07 vs. Boston to again be World Series Champs…
Alright so enough about the tribe. How about the Royals? Post-season baseball has been awesome. I never wanted to attend a tribe game vs. the Royals decades ago as the Royals consistently ranked last in the Central Division of the American League.
As I type this email, the Royals just ended Game 6 beating the San Francisco Giants 10-0! What is with these high scoring World Series games? Giants shutout the Royals, Royals crush the Giants. I’m thoroughly looking forward to Game 7! While my tribe isn’t in the World Series, I’m couldn’t think of not rooting for the Royals over the Giants. Who’s with me? I think the Royals are going to win Game 7, their 1st World Series win since 1985. Home field advantage! I’ll guess a 7-5 win in 9 innings. I’m anticipating a nail-biter of a game.
Baseball is fun in the postseason.
