As more and more players come forward regarding concussions and concussion like symptoms, the public needs to step up and demand better protection for athletes. Football is one of the most violent sports in the world and the consequences of getting hit in the head play after play, year after year are very severe. Recently, Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge took his life citing that concussions had taken their toll in text to his mother bringing the conversation back to the forefront. The technology exists to protect these players brains, we just need to apply it.
