Broulis Beat Report: NFL Week 16 Predictions

CANTON,Ohio- And then there were two. No, not two teams. That’s not til February. I’m talking about the final two weeks of the NFL’s regular season. Plenty is still at stake for quite a few teams. From all the divisions in the AFC except the AFC East, to the NFC North, South and if Dallas has a total collapse and the Giants win out, even the NFC East. Remember, New York owns that tie-breaker. But that’s unlikely to happen. And of course, the wild cards. This week I’ll be splitting the games down by days.

Giants vs Eagles- A win and the Giants are in the playoffs. Philadelphia is just trying to end their season on a good note with two weeks left. I’ll take New York.

Dolphins vs Bills- Miami must continue to win if they want to hold onto that wild card spot. I think the Dolphins get a big win on the road.

Jets vs Patriots- New England needs to win to hold onto that #1 seed. Patriots at home over a bad Jets team.

Titans vs Jaguars- Titans still have a chance to win their division and they’ll take care of business in Jacksonville.

Vikings vs Packers- Green Bay is fighting for a playoff spot. They can still win the NFC North as well. The Packers have won 4 straight and they’ll stay hot.

Redskins vs Bears- Washington needs to win out and get some help in order to make the playoffs. Give me the Redskins over Chicago.

Falcons vs Panthers- Believe it or not, this is a tough game for me to pick. I know, Carolina hasn’t played as well as a lot of people thought they would. Maybe Atlanta folds under the pressure on the road. I think the Falcons will win, but it’ll be close.

Colts vs Raiders- The Raiders have secured a playoff spot for the first time since 2001 I believe. But if they want to lock down that #2 seed in the AFC, they’ll have to keep winning. The Colts are fighting for their playoff lives. If they lose, look out. If they win, there’s still a chance. A lot also has to do with Houston and Tennessee.

Buccaneers vs Saints- Tampa Bay still has a chance a shot at the NFC South. I think they get a win in the dome.

Cardinals vs Seahawks- This is an easy pick. Seattle.

49ers vs Rams- Looks like the prison inmates will have two games this week with this being the their later game. Do I have to pick one? Rams.

Bengals vs Texans- This is a tough pick for me. I’ll go with Cincinnati on the road. The Bengals are playing loose and for nothing. Houston can’t afford to lose.

Ravens vs Steelers- This might be the game of the week. Baltimore won earlier this year. 99.9% of the time I take Pittsburgh when they play at Heinz field. Nothing changes here. I’ll pick the Steelers.

Broncos vs Chiefs- Kansas City is still fighting for the division. Denver is all but out. In other words, they have to win out and get some help. I’ll take the Chiefs at Arrowhead.

Lions vs Cowboys- This also could be a really really good game. With a win, Detroit is so close to winning the NFC North. Dallas also needs a win if they want to inch closer to locking up the NFC #1 seed. The Cowboys win 2 in a row.

Chargers vs Browns- I just cannot pick Cleveland. I just can’t. By the way, this is the prison inmates early game. I know, San Diego only has 5 wins, but they can score. Cleveland can’t stop anybody. And for the record, Cleveland fans can’t depend on the weather being a big factor. It’s supposed to rain a little, but it’ll be close to 50 degrees. I realize it’s usually 75 and sunny in San Diego, but I think the Chargers will be just fine.
