2014_f1_australian_f1_gp_melbourne_10-0317 A week left until the first pre-season test in Jerez, it will be the first test for the teams, for some teams Jerez will be the place that they will unveil their 2015 F1 car, whilst Ferrari and McLaren will unveil their car online. There are going to be three tests, all of the them will be held in February and the last one in Barcelona will be completed few days before the first Grand Prix in Melbourne. Until now only two teams unveiled their 2015 season car, Williams was the first one and present the car through F1 Racing magazine, followed by Sahara Force India which presented the 2014 car in their new 2015 colours and with the 2015 nose, their final car will be presented in Barcelona during the last test. What to expect during these tests? I don’t believe that the first test in Jerez will allow us to fully understand what will happen in 2015 season, we must all be patient and wait until the last test in Barcelona, to be able compare the teams. I am saying that, because many teams will not focus in Jerez’s test. New updates and upgrades for all the cars will coming all the time, and their aim will be to gather as many information as possible. Mercedes will be strong, I am waiting the same from Red Bull, Ferrari will be a surprise, but Ferrari’s boss doesn’t expect big things for the team, we will have to wait until the last four or five races and McLaren will try to stay close to these teams, but it will not be able to compete them, it will be Honda’s first season in F1, hence this season will be more like a test for Honda. Williams was a big surprise last season, and I am expecting to see them fighting for the podium in many Grand Prix. For the first test in Jerez the driver lin-up will be: Mercedes: Nico Rosberg (Sunday, Tuesday), Lewis Hamilton (Monday, Wednesday) Red Bull: Daniel Ricciardo (TBA), Daniil Kvyat (TBA) Williams: Valtteri Bottas (TBA), Felipe Massa (TBA) Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel (TBA), Kimi Raikkonen (TBA) McLaren: Fernando Alonso (Sunday, Tuesday), Jenson Button (Monday, Wednesday) Force India: Nico Hulkenberg (TBA), Sergio Perez (TBA) Lotus: Romain Grosjean (TBA), Pastor Maldonado (TBA) Sauber: Marcus Ericsson (Sunday, Tuesday), Felipe Nasr (Monday, Wednesday) Toro Rosso: Carlos Sainz Jr (Sunday, Tuesday), Max Verstappen (Monday, Wednesday)
